Becoming a first time mom, for me it was a mid December morning. I was big and round like a beach ball some would have said. I was nine months pregnant for my first child, I was still a child myself. I wasn't quite eighteen yet, it was about two weeks before my eighteenth birthday, so my mother had to come to the hospital to sign papers because I was under age. I was in labor for over twenty hours, took all the la maze classes and was ready to have this baby any day now. The pain started and was unbearable but I knew it was time to deliver the baby. they contractions kept coming closer and closer. I just wanted it all to end. but had to do as my doctor asked of me and to push hard and long to get the baby to start coming out. Here comes the head he said. It took over forty five minutes to push her out. but it was done a beautiful baby girl was born on this December's day. For first time mom's it's hard to understand the feeling you have when you see your child being born and a new life begins for both of you.
